The Boardroom Masterclass

Conflict is inevitable. Deadlock is optional.

Every leadership team encounters difficult conversations.
A founder and investor disagree on the future of the business.
Two senior leaders stop trusting each other.
Departments begin protecting their own interests instead of the organisation’s.
Feedback becomes political.
Negotiations stall.
Performance conversations are avoided.
The room grows quieter—but the conflict doesn’t disappear.
It simply becomes more expensive.
The Boardroom Masterclass is an immersive 3.5-hour leadership experience that equips executives with practical tools to navigate conflict, negotiate effectively, and lead difficult conversations with clarity, confidence and integrity.
This is not about avoiding disagreement.
It is about transforming disagreement into better decisions.

Why conflict matters

Conflict to Connection

The greatest threat to an organisation is rarely competition.
It is misalignment.
When people stop listening, assumptions replace curiosity.
Positions become entrenched.
Trust erodes.
Innovation slows.
Good people leave.
And small conversations become expensive problems.
Learning to navigate conflict is not a soft skill.
It is a leadership advantage.

A masterclass in negotiation, conflict resolution and leadership conversations.

  • Every organisation talks about the importance of communication.
Far fewer recognise that what they are really struggling with is conflict.
Not conflict in the dramatic sense—raised voices, public disagreements or obvious disputes—but the quieter, more expensive kind.
The meeting where everyone nods despite knowing the decision won’t work.
The founder who postpones a difficult conversation because the timing never feels right.
The executive team that spends months revisiting the same issue from different angles, convinced they have a strategy problem when, in reality, they have an alignment problem.
    Conflict rarely arrives announcing itself.
More often, it disguises itself as delay.
    As politics.
    As disengagement.
    As bureaucracy.
As “we’ll come back to this next week.”
The longer it remains unnamed, the more expensive it becomes.

About Kanika

With an LLM in International Business Law from King’s College London, extensive experience delivering leadership programmes for organisations including Goldman Sachs and Mercedes-Benz, an internationally released Netflix feature film (Project Papa), and training in mediation and interest-based dispute resolution, I bring together disciplines that are rarely found in one place.
My work sits at the intersection of strategy, communication and human behaviour.
Because every negotiation is ultimately a human one.

can conflict be an advantage?

A different approach

My work draws from law, leadership facilitation, storytelling, interest-based negotiation and mediation.

Rather than teaching people how to “win” difficult conversations, I help leaders understand what drives conflict in the first place.

Because beneath every position lies an interest.

Beneath every objection lies a need.

And beneath every difficult conversation is an opportunity to create understanding without compromising outcomes.

  • Moving beyond positions to uncover underlying interests.
  • Interest-based negotiation
  • Conflict resolution frameworks
  • Managing emotionally charged conversations
  • 5 step framework
  • Building cultures where disagreement strengthens decision-making rather than weakening trust.
  • Practical mediation tools that leaders can use long before a conflict reaches HR or legal.

Take a look at this

Most organisations see conflict as a liability. The best organisations learn to make it an advantage.

The Real World Problem

The Hidden Corporate Tax: Avoidance

The biggest bottleneck in multinational corporations isn’t technology or strategy. It is people avoiding tough conversations.

Organisations often measure what they can see—revenue, costs, market share, productivity.

What they rarely measure is the cost of the conversations that never happen.

Every time a leader avoids giving honest feedback, a performance issue lingers.

Every time two departments protect their own interests instead of solving a shared problem, execution slows.

Every time an executive team chooses harmony over honesty, the organisation loses clarity.

Conflict itself isn’t the hidden cost.

Avoidance is.

It quietly taxes decision-making, trust, innovation and organisational speed.

Over time, that tax becomes culture.

The Pedigree Solution

A Different Way of Thinking About Conflict

Most leadership programmes teach communication as though better words will solve the problem.

I don’t believe they do.

People rarely struggle because they don’t know what to say.

They struggle because they haven’t understood what is really happening beneath the conversation.

Is this disagreement about resources, or recognition?

About process, or identity?

About strategy, or trust?

About today’s decision, or years of accumulated frustration?

Without understanding the nature of the conflict, the conversation simply moves in circles.

The solution isn’t to become a better talker.

It’s to become a better diagnostician.

I don’t teach sales or vendor negotiation. I teach your internal executive teams how to align competing interests, protect professional trust, and drive absolute operational velocity.

why this work?

Hi there, I’m Kanika!

My own path to this work has never followed a conventional route.

An LLM in International Business Law at King’s College London taught me to think rigorously about rights, obligations and competing interests.

More than a decade facilitating leadership programmes for organisations including Goldman Sachs and Mercedes-Benz taught me how conflict shapes organisational culture.

Directing Project Papa reminded me that every conflict has a story beneath it.

Motherhood reminded me that no amount of expertise matters if we lose our capacity to truly listen.

Today, ongoing training in mediation has brought those worlds together.

Not because business and family are the same.

But because people are.

Whether we’re sitting across a boardroom table, around a dining table or negotiating with ourselves, the underlying dynamics of conflict are often more similar than we realise.

More About Me

The quality of an organisation is often determined by the quality of the conversations its leaders are willing to have.
